Mekong River runs through dynamically. It starts from high altitude in the Himalayas to the tropical rain forest and the Siam Gulf. The river is crossing many countries, and forms the border to divide countries in some areas. How we look at the world is normally from a political point of view. Border is invisible but has a strong existence. Till some years ago the Mekong was crossing countries in war and was difficult to reach or cross due to political reasons. Therefore it was almost impossible to understand the extraordinary Mekong River as one entity. But now the river tends to be open as a long and unique way crossing the entire South-East Asia and “stable” regional regimes.
